I like the honesty of David's prayer in Psalm 141...
Take control of what I say, O Lord, and guard my lips. Don’t let me drift toward evil or take part in acts of wickedness. Don’t let me share in the delicacies of those who do wrong.There is no trace of arrogance here, just a desire to do right... to stay on the narrow path... to avoid anything that would even remotely carry him in the wrong direction.
